The 224 Trail Crusher (non hemi) Build Kit comes ready to assemble with these parts

Our custom ported Shredder head with a 24mm exhaust valve and a 28.5 intake valve. It has been ported and milled .030" for a finish cc of 15. The intake seat has been corrected for optimum seat to valve ratio and then both given a 3 angle valve job and the valves worked over for max flow. After all that we assembled it with our 40 pound dual springs set to 30 pounds of seat.

1.2 ratio heavy duty stamped rocker arms for .318" lift with the CS cam

Dyno 255 cam for the 224 engine pre-clearenced for the longer stroke

ARC 6773 3.308 long billet rod (should land the piston to .020 deep)

5.260 long chromoly 3/16 pushrods

Wide/long slot thin guide plate

Our 28 deg diecast flywheel

4 deg timing key

Side gasket

Valve cover gasket

.050 thick fire ring head gasket

This kit will yield a compression ratio of 9.985:1 so use of 87 to 91 octane is fine. If more compression ratio is desired, you may use a slightly thinner head gasket to achieve this (please see pictures) but more compression will require more octane

I recommend a VM22, 24 flat slide or 24-26 round slide with this combination. Do not run without a good pipe as well (.930" plus ID recommended)

Note: Lately these castings have been coming in on the thin side where the breather passage to the intake port area is. This makes big valves and porting a challenge to not break through even if minimal material is removed. As a result on all ported castings, we will be plugging that passage, this will make external venting necessary (not optional). We feel that in doing this it will allow us to maintain our quality standards and put out an overall better product that will last longer with fewer issues during ownership.

On our dyno this should run about 16.5-17 hp, other guys dynos it would likely push 24 plus depending on who's dyno it is and on some people's dyno, alot more.
