The Economy 224 kit comes with the following
Dyno 224/236 CL1 Improved cam
1.3 ratio stamped rocker arms
18 pound springs with .062 shims
Long slot guide plate for use with the 1.3 ratio rockers and stock pushrods
8 deg flywheel key
Economy diecast flywheel
.570 height 70mm flat top piston kit (should net approximately 10.7:1 compression for premium fuel only)
Our economy heavy duty cast bearing shell rod (3.303 long)
.009 thick head gasket
Side cover gasket
Valve cover gasket
This kit should make about 12 real hp with a VM22 China carb and an aftermarket pipe (maybe 10.5 to 11 with a sausage screw in muffler) and spin roughly 7000 rpm pretty easily with peak hp around 5800.
Note: If using a stock carb, please see our other items for air filter kits and jets. With a non ported head I would use a .019 to .021 low speed and a .035 to .038 main jet at 900 feet above sea level. If you are above 1500 feet look to be on the lower end of this range and at sea level Id say you should still be pretty close
In a VM22 at the same 900 feet, perhaps a 120-125 main with a 15 to 17.5 pilot with the needle in the middle groove.
